Here are her responses…
What did the AWL experience mean to you in terms of your journey as a leader?
AWL enlightened me on how very important it is to know myself, feel comfortable in my own skin, show up as my true authentic self, and to be ok being uncomfortable, as well as vulnerable, at times in order to truly excel as a leader. I learned that being a leader isn't about being perfect and knowing everything, it's about being real, which ultimately helped me to foster stronger connections with my teams and drive long-term success.
Describe the benefits of the AWL experience.
It was wonderful to have a cohort of supportive and inspirational women to workshop challenging issues with, share stories and learn from. I made some lifelong connections with AWL.
What did you walk away with from AWL and what are you continuing to learn about yourself?
My leadership journey is constantly evolving and it's always important to keep practicing how I show up. The more I practice the better it gets.
I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose when… I'm helping others. Whether it is in my personal life or professional, knowing that I am making a positive impact on other peoples' lives is what keeps me motivated.
Something that makes my life ridiculously fun is... the ability to travel and relate to people from many different places.
The values/behaviors that are most important to me are... authenticity and a great sense of humor. You have to know when to laugh!
