We asked Tiffany a series of questions to get to know her better.
Here are her responses…
Describe the six months you spent in the Bloombase experience for Advanced Women Leaders.
Often, we do not make time for ourselves to grow holistically. The Advanced Women Leaders experience gave myself and other female leaders time to share our experiences, desires, and push us to be a better version of ourselves... with such confidence.
Describe the benefits of the AWL experience.
It was incredibly fulfilling to spend dedicated time with a group of women who shared the same passion as I do about making a difference. There was also a lot of time for self-reflection which was valuable in allowing me to know areas where I should focus on growth, or areas of conviction that I should share. The small cohort created a safe space to explore and to challenge each other to be accountable for our growth.
Describe the benefits of being a part of the post AWL community.
I love that I have a group of women who are my sounding boards. There is so much trust amongst us, and that’s so fulfilling. Our learning continues together post AWL.
What did you get out of the Executive Coaching sessions?
I’ve never had an executive coach before so this was a new experience for me. I appreciated that I had a direct line to someone who could offer insight on how to approach a professional situation, or even be my biggest cheerleader as I pursued advanced leadership opportunities. It helped me find my own voice and answers.
What would you say to someone else considering this experience?
It’s a fulfilling experience in building my leadership confidence and vision, as well as creating a sisterhood of women I can go to for advice and encouragement.
What is the greatest ROI for this investment you made in yourself?
The professional and personal friendships I’ve gained throughout this experience. These relationships continue to build the confidence and vision I have for myself.
My favorite way to spend an afternoon by myself is… to read. I like to read technical white papers as well as both fiction and non-fiction books.
The kind of work I’m passionate about is… software design, because it challenges my problem solving skills, and ingenuity.
To me, leadership is… providing direction and expectations to my team and then getting out of their way, empowering THEM to embark on the trail forward.
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Making a difference in the world of technology and software architecture.
The legacy that I want to leave is… It aligns with my personal mantra: “To bring the best out of everyone and myself.”
Something that makes my life ridiculously fun is… I have just begun learning the piano. It was on my bucket list, and I decided to “pull the trigger” and start learning.
The values/behaviors that are most important to me are… authenticity, transparency, a strong work ethic, and to be a giver and not a taker.
