I love music. I’m a sucker for a catchy tune and good lyrics. One song that runs through my head frequently is “The Motions” by Matthew West with these lyrics as part of the chorus:

“I don’t want to go through the motions… I don’t want to spend my whole life asking, what if I had given everything, instead of going through the motions?” – Matthew West

These lyrics remind me to be fully present in my thoughts, actions, relationships, faith, work, and everything in between. The last thing I want at the end of my life is to look back and wonder what could have been, if I had given more. I believe there is always more love to spread, more effort to give, more wisdom to gain, more land to travel, more risks to take – you get the picture!

Growing up, my parents modeled the value of intentionality through family, community, hard work, dedication, and so much more. Thanks to them, I have always valued relationships, leaders, and work that are deep and meaningful. That is why I’m so passionate about the work we do at Bloombase.

In college I studied Philanthropy, Nonprofit Management, Event Management, and Business. I appreciated the breadth of these subjects because I believe in the intersectionality of our society’s sectors, and the power of working together towards stronger communities. Upon graduation, I began my career at United Way of Central Indiana, working with corporate partners on their corporate social responsibility goals and volunteer engagement initiatives. I learned so much during my time there and built incredible relationships that will last a lifetime.

I am grateful to be doing life with my high school sweetheart and incredible husband, Brandon, and our sweet 6 month old twins, Theodore & Hazel. In our spare time, you are likely to find us at the beach enjoying the ocean, spending time with our family and friends, or playing a round of golf at one of our favorite courses. Whatever we are doing, our goal is to be fully present, living life to the fullest.
