Meet Marissa

Director of Community Tennis
USTA Missouri Valley

We asked Marissa a series of questions to get to know her better.

Here are her responses…

What did the AWL experience mean to you in terms of your journey as a leader?
The AWL experience served as a catalyst for personal and professional growth, enabling me to refine and elevate my role as a leader.

Describe the six months you spent in the Bloombase experience for Advanced Women Leaders.
The 6-month AWL experience allowed for time to learn and expand on the concepts. The next concept built on the previous session’s concept. We had the opportunity to practice the concepts with our cohort partner and Executive Coach.

Describe the benefits of the AWL experience.
A few of the benefits of my AWL experience:
- Working with an Executive Coach
- Interaction and learning from a group of women leaders in sports and other industries
- Connected with a cohort partner who became a mentor and friend

What would you say to someone considering the AWL experience?
Do it! The AWL experience is transformative, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to become a more effective and impactful leader.

I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose when… I am helping others reach their potential.

My favorite way to spend an afternoon by myself is... spend time outside.

How I would like to impact the world right now is... bring joy!
