Here are her responses…
Describe the six months you spent in the Bloombase experience for Advanced Women Leaders.
The six months I spent in the Bloombase Experience was life changing. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect, but after the first day spent with my amazing cohort and the Bloombase team I knew I was preparing for an amazing journey.
Describe the benefits of the AWL experience.
So many benefits to list. One that I really relished was learning more about myself with the EQi assessment that was partnered with the 360-survey administered to leaders, peers, and direct reports I worked with. This gave me tremendous insight to my own behaviors, styles, and awareness to how others see me. I also loved the connections I made with other like-minded women. The space to share our achievements, fears, struggles and vulnerability was invaluable. I still maintain many of those connections I made throughout my journey with AWL and imagine they will be life-long connections.
Describe the benefits of being a part of the post AWL community.
The AWL Alumni community Is another extension of the program itself. It provides ongoing support, activities, connections, education, and a place where you feel immediately welcomed and encouraged.
What did you get out of the Executive Coaching sessions?
I really enjoyed my Executive Coaching sessions. I was able to dig deep and discover some areas in my life both personally and professionally I didn't know I needed to explore.
What would you say to someone else considering this experience?
This is an opportunity of a lifetime you will not regret.
What is the greatest ROI for this investment you made in yourself?
I was not only honored but humbled when Sheri approached me about participating in AWL. I had heard about AWL and helped support other women in the program, but, for some reason, never thought about participating myself. This is by far one of the greatest investments I made in myself. I found strength and courage I didn't know I had and needed. It helped guide me to my current role as VP of Learning & Development.
I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose when I am… supporting and lifting up others to be better versions of themselves.
My favorite way to spend an afternoon by myself is… spending time connecting with my animals; my two dogs Luna (Boxer), Cecil (Eng. Bulldog) or quarter horse, Calvin. Their unconditional love fills my cup!
What gets you out of bed in the morning? My dogs and coffee (lol). But really, my appreciation and gratitude for this life I am living each and every day. It's a blessing.
The kind of work I’m most passionate about is… teamwork. I truly believe working together allows for opportunity of diverse thought and ideas, regardless of the mission, project, problem, or initiative. We are better together.
The values/behaviors that are most important to me are… honesty, reliability, empathy, and vulnerability.
Something that makes my life ridiculously fun is… the opportunity to shape and mold my life in any direction I choose. Each day I get to choose how I want to show up for myself and my tribe.
How I would like to impact the world right now is… by being a voice for those who don't have one or the platform to be heard.
