AWL Alumni Spotlight

Carolyn Kinsey

I appreciated the time to recognize how situations affect our energy levels which enables us to think about even more productive ways to move forward.

We asked Carolyn a series of questions to get to know her better.

Here are her responses…

What is the greatest ROI for this investment you made in yourself?
A common experience of my AWL cohort was facing what seemed to be ever increasing demand in our respective roles and industries. Our time investment in AWL essentially enabled us to reflect upon our choices. We focused on our personal values, our leadership vision and how that relates to personally fulfilling work. I also appreciated the time to recognize how situations affect our energy levels which enables us to think about even more productive ways to move forward. These are just a few examples of value from the AWL experience.

I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose when… I am making a tangible positive impact.

My favorite way to spend an afternoon by myself is… going for a run on a nice sunny day.

To me, leadership is… influence.

The values/behaviors that are important to me are… caring for people, joy in the day, significance in what we do, consistency in how we show up.

Something that makes my life ridiculously fun is... friends and family that enjoy activities like concerts, boating and other special events.
