We asked Aneatria some questions to help us all get to know her better. Here’s what she had to say...

I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose when I am:
Helping others reach their potential to fulfill their purpose.

The kind of work I love is:
Coaching others, because I love helping others achieve their goals.

To me, leadership is:
James 1:19 rings through my head... A leader should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. There is a lot coming at all of us right now, in these times it’s important to listen and give a little grace.

Who are your role models and how do they inspire you?
My mother, Vanessa. She taught me discipline, focus, and follow-through.

How I would like to impact the world right now is:
By creating a healthy space to grow during this racial movement, and by creating healthy meals to help us all find tasteful food options.

Something that makes my life ridiculously fun is:
My children bring me so much joy and laughter. A lot of patience too.

Describe the six months you spent in the Bloombase experience for Advanced Women Leaders (AWL)?

Like an awakening, cracking the shell that had grown around me. Light started to peer through the darkness. I wasn’t hollow. There was an entire personality, a whole person. I was awakened to finally perceive with my own eyes...my authentic self. It is me. And I am beautiful. That was my experience advancing through AWL.

Describe the benefits of the AWL experience.

AWL helped me to connect with my inner me. To learn myself, nurture myself, and grow myself. I began to realize that it all starts with the health of the mind, body and spirt. Once I was able to nourish myself, I was then more aware of myself to identify areas for improvement, to learn and grow in my space. A space, or environment, that is beginning to be influenced by me because I found my voice with AWL, and I am able to use this voice to speak-up.

Describe the benefits of being a part of the post AWL Community?

Never ending AWESOME BADASSERY! That’s how I would describe the AWL Community. The caliber of women is phenomenal. It’s a safe space where you can be unapologetically you, and you are loved. The ladies of AWL have helped me grow in so many ways, have stood by me in the most difficult of times, have listened to my heart flow with tears because the damage in our society, and have cried with me for mourning and jubilation.

What did you get out of the executive coaching sessions?

I loved loved loved my executive coaching sessions, especially my coach. This was a time where I could be RAW without borders, again, in a safe space. This is where I was able to let all the thoughts roll, and be guided to answer my own questions so I could choose a path, and stay the course.

What is the greatest ROI for this investment you made in yourself?

Pursuing AWL, and actually going through the experience has been priceless. I have a healthy lifestyle that is improving, long-lasting healthy relationships, and I am flourishing professionally, corporately, and as an entrepreneur. I can’t say that I would have had the boldness I have right now, if it were not for AWL.
