Before I began a career solely dedicated to sharing my leadership development, coaching and business expertise with other organizations and teams, I served in a broad range of executive-level leadership roles for Walmart. Because I hold the value of learning so deeply, I created a deep technical experience in Ethics & Compliance, Operations, and Administration, and invaluable leadership depth as well.
My passion for developing people and myself throughout my career created opportunities to work with incredibly talented professionals across business functions. My own roles included Vice President of U.S. Ethics and Continuous Improvement; Vice President of Regulatory and Operations Compliance; Vice President of Global Ethics & Compliance Administration; and Associate General Counsel. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to develop my leadership practice at a Fortune 1 company, and I know that it was a difference-maker that allowed me to achieve great success with the complex teams that I led.
I believe that everyone has the potential to accomplish and even exceed what may seem like far-reaching goals. My approach to leadership is inspired by the ancient Chinese philosopher and writer, Laozi (Lao-Tzu), “To lead people, walk behind them.” I embraced this theory of leading and coaching early in my career. Today, I am still focused on “leading from behind” through the teachings of the Hudson Institute of Coaching, emphasizing self-awareness and belief in self to create workable and sustainable transformations. In my latest role as a Partner and Chief Logic Officer for Bloombase, I have found a new way to focus my passion for developing leaders and supporting them in their leadership practice.
I am also the creator and owner of AirBearApparel.com, an eCommerce apparel company. AirBear is my way of appreciating the quirky, fun, and inspirational sayings my family and friends put out into the universe. To stay connected to my ethics background, I serve as an Advisory Board Member for the Center for Leadership Ethics in the Eller College of Business at the University of Arizona. Additionally, I am honored to be able to give back to my community by serving on the Board of Directors of the Community Clinic of Northwest Arkansas. My husband and I live in northwest Arkansas, and have raised two sons who are both now attending college.
