M.T. Ray is an influential female leader in Indianapolis who has been key to the success of multiple tech companies. Her passion is talent—helping talent find amazing opportunities, helping companies find amazing talent, and helping talent grow and develop within their own careers.
M.T. played a pivotal role in the success of ExactTarget, an email marketing software company that was acquired by Salesforce for $2.7B in 2013. M.T. led the global recruiting team which was responsible for hiring top talent across the globe. She proposed a progressive global recruiting model that helped fuel the amazing growth, while also reducing costs. This impact led to ExactTarget’s IPO in 2012 and ultimate acquisition. M.T. then transitioned to the VP Employee Success Indianapolis for Salesforce, their 2nd largest location, where she played an instrumental role in engaging and retaining talent. She represented Salesforce during the Indiana RFRA crisis and is most known for her advocacy and big voice for all employees.
Due to her strong relationships, M.T. was presented with opportunities to join High Alpha as their first VP of Talent, as well as Cheetah Digital as their Global Head of HR. Each position broadened her business acumen giving her exposure to startups, VCs, and private equity, offering differing perspectives that helped expand her overall HR knowledge and skill set.
In 2016, M.T. was awarded the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) Woman of Influence honor. She spearheaded the inaugural Indy Women in Tech Summit and served as Co-Chair for 2 years, fueling her passion as an advocate for women at all levels.
